Individual Counseling via Telehealth
I provide individual counseling that is focused on your needs. Depending on what your concerns are, I may use some different types of therapy listed below. For issues with anxiety and depression, I often use a combination of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to assist in improving distress tolerance and emotional regulation. I also utilize Exposure and Response Therapy (ERP) to improve and manage symptoms of OCD and Panic Disorder. For grief or relationship concerns, I use narrative therapy that is trauma focused as well as person-centered techniques to help you process your thoughts and feelings in session.
I love to listen, but I also utilize and provide healthy coping skills to help you grow. I hope you’ll allow me to help you gain the tools you need to move beyond your symptoms and find relief.
EMDR
I provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. EMDR uses your brain’s natural power to heal and move past traumatic experiences.
EMDR helps you work through and address unprocessed memories. By bridging both sides of your brain through eye movements, headphone clicks, or other techniques, EMDR can help you process your trauma. The goal is to both reprocess and desensitize traumatic memories. EMDR allows the brain to access and process the traumatic experiences in a way that reduces its intensity and negative impact. Meaning you can recall the event without experiencing the intense emotional distress and negative beliefs associated with it.
EMDR has been a life-changer for those who have felt “stuck” in therapy and have struggled to reap benefits from more cognitive approaches.
